Iran regime’s defiance increases tensions with Israel

  By Dr. Majid Rafizadeh Rising tensions between the Iranian regime and Israel have the potential to spiral into a wider conflict if not adequately addressed. There are several reasons for the heightened tensions. First of all, although the Iranian regime attempts to distract attention from the direct involvement of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Syria, Tehran continues to increase its military influence there and use its proxies against Israeli targets. Israel last month carried out an airstrike in Syria on a location where Iranian officials were meeting. Iranian leaders were reportedly meeting to discuss developments regarding their country’s drone and ballistic missile capabilities in Syria. The attack occurred on the same day that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blamed the Iranian government for an attack on a vessel owned by an Israeli in the Arabian Gulf. France says takes U.S. claims Iran violated U.N. resolutions seriously

PARIS (Reuters)NOV. 8, 2017  - France’s foreign ministry said on Wednesday it was taking accusations by the United States that Iran had violated two U.N. Security Council resolutions seriously and urged Iran to comply with all its international commitments. The United States Ambassador to the  United Nations  Nikki Haley accused Iran on Tuesday of supplying Yemen’s Houthi rebels with a missile that was fired into Saudi Arabia in July and called for the U.N. to hold Tehran accountable for violating two U.N. Security Council resolutions. “We take these American indications seriously and attach utmost importance to Iran’s compliance with all of its international obligations, including the weapons’ transfer bans provided for in UN Security Council Resolutions 2216 and 2231,” deputy foreign ministry spokesman Alexandre Georgini told reporters in a daily briefing. Khamenei’s advisor threatened Hariri: ‘you will meet your father’s fate’

Al Arabiya on November 7th, 2017  cited an Iranian website known to leak what was going on behind the scenes of the Iranian regime during a meeting of Iran's Supreme Leader's adviser  Ali Akbar Velayati with the resigned Lebanese Prime Minister, Saad Hariri, in Beirut last Friday. According to Al Arabiya, Velayati, during that meeting, threatened Hariri to choose between backing up the strategy of the US administration against Hezbollah, or Lebanon will face chaos and Saad Hariri will meet the fate of his father who was assassinated on February 14th 2005. Documents show Bin Laden ordered his son to ditch Iran and head to Qatar

Al Arabiya, 3 November 2017  - New revelations from the bin Laden documents released by the CIA on Wednesday show that the former al-Qaeda leader has advised members of his family residing in Iran to move to Qatar. The bin Laden documents show the relationship between his notorious terrorist organization and the government of Iran. Despite the building of a strong framework between Iran and al-Qaeda Osama bin Laden was distrustful of his allies. Bin Laden writes that he wanted his son Hamza, the al-Qaeda’s leader in waiting, to leave Iran, where he married and started a family, and head for Qatar to study Sharia sciences in order for him to rest his doubts about performing 'jihad'.
