Iran regime’s defiance increases tensions with Israel

  By Dr. Majid Rafizadeh Rising tensions between the Iranian regime and Israel have the potential to spiral into a wider conflict if not adequately addressed. There are several reasons for the heightened tensions. First of all, although the Iranian regime attempts to distract attention from the direct involvement of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Syria, Tehran continues to increase its military influence there and use its proxies against Israeli targets. Israel last month carried out an airstrike in Syria on a location where Iranian officials were meeting. Iranian leaders were reportedly meeting to discuss developments regarding their country’s drone and ballistic missile capabilities in Syria. The attack occurred on the same day that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blamed the Iranian government for an attack on a vessel owned by an Israeli in the Arabian Gulf. Conference in Stockholm Challenges Betrayal of Human Rights at the UN by Iran Regime’s President Raisi

Meanwhile, the Iranian diaspora will be holding a conference in Stockholm to draw attention once again to Raisi’s history of human rights violations and to condemn the international community for legitimizing his rule by sending emissaries to his inauguration last month and by giving in a platform at the UN now. The Stockholm conference will feature eyewitness testimony from a number of former Iranian political prisoners who had dealings with Raisi while he served as a prosecutor and clerical judge. Many of those individuals witnessed the  1988 massacre  of political prisoners, putting them in close proximity to the proceedings that killed over 30,000 people and had them interred in secret mass graves throughout the country. Iran: Granting Mullah’s Impunity for Nuclear Violations Grants It Impunity in All Other Areas

While claiming the cameras to be “damages,”  Mohammad Eslami  the Iranian regime’s new nuclear chief blamed the signatories of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal with world power, for not implementing “their commitments so there was no necessity for the cameras’ existence.” This action comes days after the recent travel by Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA ). Despite mounting concerns by all parties involved in the deal, Grossi assured the world leaders he had obtained some promises from the regime. This event was attended by several members of the UK House of Commons and House of Lords. While presenting his book, Sir Ames also referred to his activities supporting the Iranian people and their organized Resistance Movement. Sir Ames also spoke about the Iranian regime’s human rights violations. Other participants of this conference referred to  Ebrahim Raisi , the Iranian regime’s new president, and his role in the  1988 massacre  of 30,000 political prisoners. Government-linked institutions in Iran do not pay taxes

In any country, subsidies should belong to deprived people. In Iran, however, these subsidies have practically gone into the pockets of government-linked entities. According to regime officials, the subsidies that have been given to the people to this point are far less and merely 20 percent of the subsidies provided to government institutions. Another subsidy that has practically failed is 42,000 rials government-dollar (each USD is being exchanged at about 280,000 rial in the market). Human rights center of “No to Prison- No to Execution” reported on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, that according to credible reports received from Mashahd Vakil Abad Prison, the conditions there are disastrous. According to reliable reports from Vakil Abad Prison in Mashhad, the condition of this prison is catastrophic. The food quality is so bad that prisoners, despite starvation, discard the food that the prison gives because it is not edible. Fruits are also out of reach. A kilo of watermelon is sold for 50,000 tomans and one kilo of apples equivalents to 45,000 tomans. Prisoners cannot afford to buy any fruit in a month. Health care is also much worse.
